When
we began our search for an additional lawyer in the Fall of 2008,
we were hopeful of finding a person with at least five years experience
of trial experience. We saw many highly regarded candidates. None,
however, had the attributes that Bonde Johnson possessed. Paramount
among these were his 14 years as a trial lawyer, seven as a prosecutor
(immediately after law school) and seven as a personal injury lawyer
for a Groton firm. In total, he has taken 60 jury cases to verdict.
These made him “ready to go” on behalf of our clients.
A
native of Old Lyme, Bonde received his undergraduate degree from
Boston University in 1985 and his law degree in 1989 from Valparaiso
University School of Law. While in law school, he was executive
managing editor of the law review and was captain of the mock
trial team. He interrupted his legal career after 14 years and
ran his own contracting business for 4 years before joining Faulkner & Boyce.
His
outside interests are many. He is a musician, concentrating on
the wind instruments and is a member of Musician's Union local
285-403. He plays in many local bands. He holds a black belt
in tae kwan do and holds a Class A CDL. His hobbies include motorcycles
and restoring antique photographs and musical instruments.
Bonde,
a native of Old Lyme, resides in Gales Ferry with his wife and
their four children.
